JPS German Back to Back Program
What is GAPP / "Back to Back"?
GAPP = German American Partnership Program. GAPP is apart of the Goethe Institute.
JPS has had a German exchange program for 40+ years!
Travel is open to current 8th-12th grade students.
We are partnered with the Lothar Meyer Gymnasium in Varel, Germany.
In June, we will go to Germany for a little over 2 weeks. That following September, the Germans will come to Jackson for around 2 weeks. (Back to Back)
We will travel to Germany every other year! (2025, 2027, 2029, etc.)
Important Dates
October 25th: GAPP Application, Scholarship Application, Student Contract Packet (needs to be notarized), Medical Forms, and the Application Fee of $250 need to be submitted to either Frau Woodring (Parkside) or Herr Ernst (JHS)
November 15th: General Meeting. It is possible we will have matched the German and US Students and have their contact information. We are also hoping to have fundraising opportunities established at that time!
