Good evening Viking families!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday! Thank you to our senior parents/guardians who attended the virtual Class of 2025 parent meeting. It was a pleasure hosting an event that afforded you the opportunity to gain more information about our upcoming graduation activities. If you were not able to attend, please reach out to use with any questions you may have.
Just a reminder to our seniors: Be sure to check the senior newsletter for all important information for upcoming graduation activities and requirements. Senior dues ($150) are due by this Thursday. Your last day of school will be on May 16th. You must be in good standing to participate in graduation activities including walking at commencement on May 23rd. Lack of attendance, failed courses, misbehaviors and/or suspensions will be considered in this determination as well. Finish strong! If there is anything we can do to support you finishing strong, please reach out to Ms. DeCorte or Mrs. Scott to set up an appointment to meet. Class of 2025 yard signs will be available for pick up in the Welcome Center on April 25th from 11:30am- 12:30pm.
The junior/senior prom is Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 8-11pm at the American 1 Event Center. Tickets are $40 and will be available for purchase at both lunches this week. Be sure to get your ticket during lunch as the ticket price will increase at the door.

REMINDERS
Just a reminder that our day begins at 7:20am with doors opening at 7:00am. Students who have a pattern of being late to school and classes without a medical excuse will be referred to our attendance coordinator for further review. After 7:35am, students are only allowed to exit and enter the building via the Welcome Center. Parents are welcome at the Welcome Center if you have any questions or need to drop off/pick up your child or anything for your child.
Cell phones and headphones are to be kept off and away while students are in class. Coats and backpacks including totes and purses are to be kept in lockers during the day. Please remind your young person of these very important JHS policies.
The JHS Teen Health Center is open each day for your child. Please reach out to them at 5177800838. They are available for mental health, wellness checks, and sports physicals.
Tutoring takes place each day M- Thursday from 2:30- 3:40 JHS students and Mon- Friday for Pathways students.
Our high school community closet is a place where students can donate and receive essential items such as food, clothing, school supplies, and toiletries. It is meant to help students who may not have access to these items or may be experiencing financial difficulties. This initiative promotes a sense of community and support among students. It is open each week during lunches to all high school students.
Just a reminder to all of families about our new valedictorian policy
